Diphenylterazine (DTZ) is a bioluminescence agent. Diphenylterazine alone yielded very little background, leading to excellent signal-to-background ratios[1].

Diphenylterazine 具有高量子产率、红移发射、有利的体内药代动力学并且缺乏光发射所需的辅助因子。Yeh AH (2023) 使用 Diphenylterazine 为荧光素酶的目标底物，使用多核转运因子 NTF2 样超家族为目标拓扑，从头设计了量小而稳定的蛋白质支架，使口袋的大小和形状适合 Diphenylterazine。这种方式筛选到具有高选择性的设计荧光素酶，破除了天然蛋白质的局限性。从头设计的荧光素酶对 Diphenylterazine 的催化效率（kcat/Km = 106/M/s ）与天然荧光素酶相当，但底物特异性更高[2]。
注意事项：要制备 DTZ (Diphenylterazine) 的储备溶液，首先，通过以下方法制备预混合物: 将 17.6 mg L-抗坏血酸 (HY-B0166) 溶解在 10 mL 乙醇和 10 mL 1，2-丙二醇中；接下来，将 1 mg DTZ 溶解在 88 μL 预混液中，得到含有 5 mM L-抗坏血酸的 30 mM DTZ 储备液。
该储存液在-80°C 可保存数月。该方式大大提高了该产品在酸性酒精溶液中的稳定性[3]。

BALB/c mice are used and transfected with cells expressing teLuc, Antares, Antares2 and FLuc by injecting cells into the tail vein of BALB/c mice. After the diminishing of the FLuc bioluminescence, 0.3 µmol Diphenylterazine or furimazine is intraperitoneally injected. Mice are imaged with a 1-min exposure per frame over a course of 20 min. The images are processed using the Fiji image analysis software and the frames with highest signals in individual experiments are used for comparison[1].
