Anti-MRSA agent 26 is a potent anti-MRSA agent with MIC <0.015 μg/mL. Anti-MRSA agent 26 has superior activity against a broad range of Gram-positive pathogens and shows no cytotoxicity in three mammalian cell lines (Caco-2, DU-145 and MDCKII MDR1 cells) at 10 μM. Anti-MRSA agent 26 has a robust TAP pharmacophore and an excellent antibacterial activity in Staphylococcus aureus skin infection mice model[1].

Anti-MRSA agent 26 (Compound 21) (2% 乳膏，涂抹于伤口，每天两次，每次间隔 6 小时，持续 5 天)可显著降低金黄色葡萄球菌皮肤感染小鼠模型中的细菌负荷[1]。

Animal Model: Female BALB/cJRj mice were inoculated with 5 μL of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213 (5 × 103 CFU/mouse) on skin lesion (10 × 10 mm) on day 0[1].
Dosage: 2% cream
Administration: Applied the cream to cover the wound, twice per day with 6 h between for 5 days and then collected skin tissue and bacteria.
Result: Significantly reduced Staphylococcus aureus load in Staphylococcus aureus skin infection mice model.
