Western Blotting (WB) is a molecular biology technique used to detect and analyze proteins. This method separates proteins by electrophoresis and then transfers them to a membrane. The membrane then reacts with specific antibodies to form immune complexes, and finally the target protein is revealed via chemical or fluorescent detection methods. WB can be used to study protein expression levels, identify protein molecular weights, study protein modifications, etc. It is a commonly used tool in molecular biology and biomedical research.
