KBTBD7 is a component of the CUL3(KBTBD6/7) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and acts as a substrate linker to direct “Lys-48” ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the RAC1 guanine exchange factor TIAM1. This precise ubiquitination enables KBTBD7 to effectively regulate RAC1 signaling, affecting key biological processes such as cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and cell proliferation.
