AMSHLP is a zinc metalloprotease that selectively cleaves "Lys-63" linked polyubiquitin chains and acts as a positive regulator of the TORC1 signaling pathway. It specifically deubiquitinates SESN2, disrupts its interaction with the GATOR2 complex and inhibits SESN2-mediated regulation of TORC1.
