LRPAP1 protein functions as a molecular chaperone for LDL receptor-related proteins, regulating ligand binding throughout the secretory pathway. It transiently interacts with LRP1/alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor chains, reducing ligand binding. LRPAP1 also interacts with LRP2/glycoprotein 330, LDLR, and SORL1, influencing internalization, degradation, or ligand binding modulation. This highlights LRPAP1's multifaceted role in governing the function and trafficking of LDL receptor-related proteins. LRPAP1 Protein, Human (HEK293, C-His) is the recombinant human-derived LRPAP1 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-6*His labeled tag.
