Cystathionine β-lyase, Recombinant Microorganisms (CBL) is an enzyme that catalyzes the breakdown of cystathionine to homocysteine, the penultimate step in methionine biosynthesis. Cystathionine β-lyase is important for bacterial virulence[1].

(In Vitro)

Cystathionine β-lyase (25 nM; 10 min) 催化 L-(+)-胱氨酸 (100 μM) 生成同型半胱氨酸。Cystathionine β-lyase 活性可以通过在 412 nm 处通过 5,5′-dithio-bis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid) 检测游离硫醇来检测同型半胱氨酸的形成[1]。
