EHD 蛋白家族 (Eps15 Homology Domain-containing proteins) 是一类在哺乳动物细胞内负责内吞转运的关键蛋白,通过调节细胞内胞吞和胞吐运输来影响膜蛋白和受体的内化与再循环。EHD 蛋白的 C-末端含有 Eps15 同源结构域,这是执行细胞内运输调节功能的关键结构。EHD 蛋白可以通过与富含 NPF 序列的蛋白质以及 Rab GTP 酶互作调控膜运输过程。EHD 蛋白家族包括四种成员:EHD1、EHD2、EHD3 和 EHD4。研究表明 EHD1 主要负责调节转铁蛋白受体从再循环内体回到细胞质膜的过程。

The EHD protein family (Eps15 Homology Domain-containing proteins) is a key group of proteins in mammalian cells responsible for endocytic transport. They regulate the internalization and recycling of membrane proteins and receptors by controlling cellular endocytosis and exocytosis processes. The C-terminal of EHD proteins contains an Eps15 Homology Domain, which is crucial for regulating intracellular transport functions. EHD proteins can regulate membrane transport processes through interactions with proteins rich in NPF sequences and Rab GTPases. The EHD protein family includes four members: EHD1, EHD2, EHD3, and EHD4. Studies have shown that EHD1 primarily regulates the recycling of the transferrin receptor from the recycling endosome back to the cell membrane.
EHD protein activity is related to the development of Alzheimer's disease. By regulating the transport and processing of BACE1, it affects the production of β-amyloid, a key mechanism in the pathogenesis of the disease[1][2][3].
