LRRFIP1 is a transcriptional repressor that preferentially binds to GC-rich sequences (5'-AGCCCCCGGCG-3') and may regulate the expression of TNF, EGFR, and PDGFA. It inhibits PDGFA, which controls smooth muscle cell proliferation after arterial injury.
