β-1,3-Glucan (β Glucan) is an orally active polysaccharide composed of glucose polymers. β-1,3-Glucan increase the activity of IKKβ kinase, enhances the production of nitric oxide. β-1,3-Glucan improves resistance to Vibrio harveyi infection. β-1,3-Glucan enhances immune response, promotes blood pressure recovery, reduces lung, kidney and liver damage, inhibits the growth of syngeneic tumors[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].

β-1,3-Glucan (PGG-Glucan；0.1-3 μg/mL；3 h) 能够剂量依赖性地增强白细胞对可溶性和颗粒状激活剂的氧化爆发反应和杀菌活性[1]。

β-1,3-Glucan (40-160 mg/kg；口服；5-10天) 可增强脾细胞对有丝分裂原的增殖反应，增强自然杀伤细胞的活性和腹膜巨噬细胞的溶酶体酶活性，并抑制小鼠同源肿瘤的生长[4]。
β-1,3-Glucan (20 mg/kg/天，口服；2 mg/kg/天，皮下注射；口服14天，皮下注射3天) 可促进大鼠内毒血症模型中血压恢复，减轻肾脏和肝脏损伤，并调节细胞因子水平[5]。
β-1,3-Glucan (2 mg/kg；肌肉注射；术后立即注射和术后 4 h 注射) 可提高盲肠结扎穿刺 (CLP) 诱发的脓毒症大鼠模型中的存活率，减轻急性肺损伤，抑制促炎细胞因子的释放[6]。

Animal Model: Male BALB/c mice, 6-8 weeks old, Ehrlich ascites tumour (EAT)-bearing model[7]
Dosage: 250 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, 1000 mg/kg
Administration: Oral gavage, once a day for 18 days
Result: Significantly prolonged the lifespan of EAT-bearing mice.
Prevented myelosuppression and splenomegaly by increasing the number of granulocyte-macrophage progenitors in the bone marrow and increasing colony-stimulating activity in the serum.
Restored the ability of bone marrow stromal cells from tumor - bearing mice to display myeloid progenitors in long-term bone marrow cultures.
Upregulated the production of interleukin (IL)-6 and IL-1α by these cells.
Restored natural killer cell activity.
