Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT)光动力疗法 (PDT)

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a treatment method that uses a combination of photosensitizers and light sources (usually lasers). PDT requires the introduction of photosensitizers into the body, which are then activated by light of a specific wavelength, resulting in a chemical reaction in the diseased tissue, generating reactive oxygen species that destroy cancer cells. However, in PDT technology, the tissue penetration depth of light is not always effective, and there is also the risk of ionizing radiation toxicity from X-rays. In contrast, the application of SDT tends to be more widely adaptable, can be non-invasive or minimally invasive, and is an ideal nanotechnology platform.
