Lipopolysaccharides, from S. enterica (Salmonella enterica) serotype typhimurium are lipopolysaccharide endotoxins and TLR4 activators derived from serotype typhimurium of Salmonella enterica, and are classified as S-type LPS. Lipopolysaccharides, from S. enterica exhibit a typical three-part structure: O-antigen, core oligosaccharide, and lipid A. Lipopolysaccharides, from S. enterica serotype typhimurium can modulate the fate of bacteria in dendritic cells (DC), determining the uptake, degradation, and activation of immune functions by DC cells against the bacteria[1][2][3][4].
It is recommended to prepare a stock solution of ≥2 mg/mL and ensure that it is fully mixed and dissolved. Due to the adsorption characteristics of LPS, low adsorption centrifuge tubes should be used for aliquoting and storage.

Note:
1. 为了保持 LPS 的完整性，建议将 LPS 溶液存放在硅烷化容器中。因为 LPS 可以粘附在塑料和某些类型的玻璃上，尤其是在浓度低于 0.1 mg/mL 时。如果 LPS 浓度超过 1 mg/mL，这种吸附作用相对较小，建议配制 ≥2 mg/mL 母液，并充分涡旋震荡 10 分钟以上，必要时辅助超声，保证充分混合溶解。如果使用玻璃容器，请确保使用前充分混合至少 30 分钟，以重新溶解任何吸附在管壁的 LPS。
2. LPS 是一种能在溶液中形成不同尺寸胶束的分子，分子量不固定，储备液及工作液可直接配制成质量浓度 (mg/mL, μg/mL, etc.)。
3. LPS 溶于水或 PBS 后可能会观察到均匀的浑浊溶液，如需过滤除菌，请勿直接过滤储备液，建议稀释成工作液之后用 0.22 μm 的滤膜过滤除菌。

Lipopolysaccharides, from S. enterica serotype typhimurium 是不同于普通沙门氏菌属分泌 LPS 的脂多糖。普通沙门氏菌的 LPS 只有一种野生型核心寡糖结构（血清型鼠伤寒沙门氏菌中的 Ra 核心），而血清型 Lipopolysaccharides, from S. enterica serotype typhimurium 与 Ra 核心在外部核心的单个末端侧枝上有所不同，可能决定了不同的免疫原性[1]。S. enterica serotype typhimurium 拥有两种 Wzz 蛋白：WzzST (使 O 抗原的模态范围为 16-35 个 RU) 和 WzzfepE (使模态值超过 100 个 RU) (RU：糖重复单元)。而 Wzz 蛋白调控 Lipopolysaccharides 中 O 抗原的长度，附着于脂质 A 的 RU 数量由 Wzz 蛋白决定的模态值决定。突变对应的蛋白编码基因会导致形成短链 O 抗原链及细菌致病性显著降低[2]。
