Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, Microorganism (PEPC) is a carbon dioxide fixing enzyme that in an irreversible manner and in the presence of Mg2+, converts phosphoenolpyruvate and bicarbonate into oxaloacetate and inorganic phosphorus. Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase catalyses the primary assimilation of CO(2) in Crassulacean acid metabolism plants. Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase plays a major role in setting the day-night pattern of metabolism in plants[1][2].

磷酸烯醇式丙酮酸羧化酶 (PEPC) 催化二氧化碳与磷酸烯醇式丙酮酸的固定,生成草酰乙酸和无机磷酸盐。
该酶是由分子量约为 100,000 的相同亚基组成的四聚体。每摩尔有 36 个半胱氨酸残基,以游离 SH 基团的形式存在。

最佳 pH 值:8.0-9.0,一般使用 pH 值 8.5
激活剂:乙酰辅酶 A 和果糖-1,6-二磷酸
抑制剂:富马酸和 L-苹果酸

使用说明
建议使用 0.11 M Tris 硫酸盐缓冲液 (pH 8.5) 溶解,其中含有 0.005 M 硫酸镁。
文献报道 PEPC 溶液在 Mg2+ 缓冲液中至少能稳定六小时。在稀溶液中,除非存在 Mg2+ 或天冬氨酸,否则酶会分解成单体和二聚体并失活。
