生物活性

Solanidine is an orally active cholestane alkaloid. Solanidine can be isolated from potato. Solanidine decreases RAD51 and increases γH2AX and p53. Solanidine has anti-tumor effects on LLC tumors and lung cancer. Solanidine promotes breast cancer cell proliferation. Solanidine reduces neovascularization. Solanidine causes abortion in some pregnant mice[1][2][3].

(In Vivo)

Solanidine (2.4 mmol/kg；口服，饮食给药；14 天) 会导致非妊娠和妊娠小鼠肝肿大，降低妊娠小鼠的体重增长、产仔重量和平均胎儿重量，并导致一些妊娠小鼠流产[1]。
Solanidine (4-8 μM；局部应用；7 天) 减少大鼠碱烧伤角膜模型中的新血管形成[2]。
Solanidine (10-20 mg/kg；腹腔注射；每隔一天；6 次给药) 使 Balb/C 雌性小鼠的 LLC 肿瘤消退，减少肿瘤结节数量，并延长动物的存活时间[2]。

Animal Model: Swiss Webster mice (female, 25-36 g, timed-pregnant at 1-2 days’ gestation) pregnant mice model[1]
Dosage: 2.4 mmol/kg (in diet)
Administration: Dietary administration, 14 days
Result: Led to lower body weight gains, litter weights, and average fetus weights in pregnant mice.
Resulted in miscarriage in 5 of 24 pregnant mice.
Increased liver weight as a percentage of body weight (%LW/BW) in non-pregnant and pregnant mice.
Showed lower litter weight as a percentage of body weight (%LTW/BW).
