Etozolin (W-2900A) is a diuretic agent. Etozolin inhibits fluid and electrolyte reabsorption in the loop of Henle. Etozolin can be used in research of congestive heart failure, hypertension and edema[1].

(In Vivo)

Etozolin (W-2900A; 50 mg/kg; i.v.; once; sprague dawley rats) increases urinary fluid and sodium excretion and decreases glomerular filtration rate[1].

Dosage: 50 mg/kg
Administration: Intravenous injection; once
Result: Decreased fractional tubular sodium reabsorption by 8.7% and increased urinary fluid and sodium excretion.
