Hydroxy Bosentan-d₄  (Synonyms: 波生坦羟甲基杂质-d₄; Ro 48-5033-d₄)

Hydroxy Bosentan-d₄ is deuterium labeled Hydroxy bosentan. Hydroxy bosentan (Ro 48-5033) is a primary metabolite of Bosentan (BOS) metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system in the liver. Ro 48-5033 assists BOS pharmacologically, retaining 10%-20% activities[1].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
