FRK protein is a non-receptor tyrosine protein kinase that acts as a negative regulator of cell proliferation by positively regulating PTEN protein stability. Through phosphorylation of PTEN on “Tyr-336”, FRK may prevent PTEN ubiquitination and degradation by reducing its binding to NEDD4.
