离子通道的本质是膜结合酶，其催化位点是离子传导孔，经特定的环境刺激 (电压、配体浓度、膜张力、温度等) 后打开或关闭。离子通道为离子在生物膜上的被动扩散提供孔隙。由于对离子具有高度选择性，离子通道一般被分类为钠 (Na+)，钾 (K+)，钙 (Ca2+)， 氯化物 (Cl-) 和非特异性阳离子通道。离子通道是细胞信号传导和体内平衡的重要贡献者。除电信号转导外，离子通道还具有许多功能：调节血管平滑肌舒缩，维持细胞正常体积，调节腺体分泌，蛋白激酶的激活等。因此，离子通道的功能障碍可导致许多疾病，其机制研究更是尤为重要。

Formulation:

A collection of 1129 small molecules related to ion channel supplied as pre-dissolved Solutions or Solid
Solution: 1118 compounds supplied in 10 mM solution, 11 compounds supplied in 2 mM solution.

Layout:

96-well storage tube or 96-well plate: 1st and 12th column are left empty.
384-well plate: the first two columns and the last two columns are left empty.
Compounds with different concentrations or dissolved in different solvents will be put on separate plates. This way of layout may increase the number of plates because there could be three solvents and three concentrations.
