Tricin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside is a potent and orally active neuroprotective agent. Tricin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside induces Apoptosis. Tricin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside decreases the expression of TNF-α induced phosphor-κB-α, phosphor-NF-κB, HMGB1[1].

Apoptosis Analysis[1]

Cell Line: SH-SY5Y cells
Concentration: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 µM
Incubation Time: 12 h
Result: Induced cell apoptosis after oxygen-glucose deprivation for 3 h followed by 12 h incubation with neurobasal medium with the apoptosis rate of 35.6%.

Western Blot Analysis[1]

Cell Line: SH-SY5Y cells
Concentration: 16, 32 µM
Incubation Time: 12 h
Result: Blocked TNF-α (20 ng/ml for 30 min) induced IκB-α and NF-κB phosphorylation, and reduced HMGB1 expression.
