Acts upstream of or within several processes, including mammary gland development; osteoclast differentiation; and positive regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB signaling. Located in cytoplasmic side of plasma membrane. Part of CD40 receptor complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; genitourinary system; hemolymphoid system gland; and limb. Used to study fetal encasement syndrome.
