Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathway; positive regulation of intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway in response to DNA damage; and protein sumoylation. Located in nuclear matrix and nucleoplasm. Part of transferase complex. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; early conceptus; genitourinary system; hair follicle; and heart.
