研究背景

Rubisco (Large Chain) 是一种催化两种反应的酶：D-ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate 的羧化作用（二氧化碳固定的主要事件）以及光呼吸过程中五碳底物的氧化断裂。这两种反应在同一个活性位点同时发生并相互竞争（推测）。该酶还能结合脱落酸（ABA），但晶体结构中仅有一半可能的结合位点被占据，且迹象表明这是一个低亲和力位点。
