CREB Regulated Transcription Coactivator 2 (CRTC2) 是一种转录共激活因子，能够通过共识型和变体型 cAMP 反应元件 (CRE) 位点激活 CREB1 的转录。在 SIK/TORC 信号通路中，CRTC2 作为共激活因子发挥作用，当其去磷酸化时具有活性，且不依赖于 CREB1 的 Ser-133 磷酸化。它还能增强 CREB1 与 TAF4 的相互作用。作为 LKB1/AMPK/TORC2 信号通路的组成部分，CRTC2 调节糖异生过程，并调控特定基因（如类固醇生成基因 StAR）的表达。此外，CRTC2 是 PPARGC1A 的强效共激活因子，可诱导肌肉细胞中的线粒体生物发生。它也是 TAX 激活人类 T 细胞白血病病毒 1 型 (HTLV-1) 长末端重复序列 (LTR) 的共激活因子。
