The AGRP protein is critical for body weight homeostasis and regulates feeding behavior through the central melanocortin system. As an antagonist of alpha melanocyte-stimulating hormone, AGRP inhibits cAMP production through melanocortin receptors in the hypothalamus and adrenal glands. AGRP Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived AGRP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of AGRP Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is 131 a.a., with molecular weight of ~20 kDa.
