APAF1 protein is a key apoptotic component that coordinates cytochrome c-dependent caspase-9 precursor activation and initiates caspase-3 activation and apoptosis. APAF1 forms an apoptotic loop with cytochrome c and dATP, interacts with caspase-9 precursor, and releases mature caspase-9. APAF1 Protein, Human (P. pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived APAF1 protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-6*His labeled tag.
