IVD protein, a vital component of the leucine catabolic pathway, facilitates the transformation of isovaleryl-CoA/3-methylbutanoyl-CoA into 3-methylbut-2-enoyl-CoA. This reaction acts as an intermediate step. Moreover, IVD protein demonstrates some capacity to oxidize saturated short-chain acyl-CoA thioesters like pentanoyl-CoA, hexenoyl-CoA, and butenoyl-CoA, albeit to a lesser degree. IVD Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived IVD protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells, with N-His labeled tag.
