Layilin/LAYN Protein is a type 1 transmembrane protein with a C-type lectin motif that functions as a hyaluronic acid receptor. Layilin mainly localizes to mitochondria or in their close proximity. Layilin may lead to the promotion of the cell cycle through the activation of CDK1 in tumor cells, promotes mitochondrial fission through activation of DRP1 and accordingly enhance migratory and invasive abilities. Layilin/LAYN Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant rat-derived Layilin/LAYN protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag. The total length of Layilin/LAYN Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is 224 a.a., with molecular weight of ~55 kDa.
