Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Rett syndrome; X-linked intellectual disability-psychosis-macroorchidism syndrome; autistic disorder; severe congenital encephalopathy due to MECP2 mutation; and syndromic X-linked intellectual disability Lubs type.
