IL-12R beta 2 protein is an IL-12 cytokine surface receptor that activates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade pathway and is involved in IL-12-mediated immune regulation. IL-12R beta 2 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is expressed by HEK 293 cells with a transmembrane region (W638-I658) and a His tag at the C-terminus^[1].

The number of Treg cells in the resting spleen of IL-12Rβ2^-/- mice is comparable to that of strain-matched wild-type (WT) mice. Among them, IL-12Rβ2^-/- splenocytes are completely resistant to IL-12-mediated inhibition and lacked detectable IL-12 receptor mRNA in reg cells, suggesting that IL-12 signaling can indirectly inhibit Treg amplification^[3].
IL-12Rβ2 is expressed primarily in NK cells, and mice lacking the IL-12Rβ2 subunit exhibit transient weight loss, the severity of which correlates with serum cytokine levels of IFN-γ. And, serum levels of IL-1β and IL-23 can be detected in IL-12Rβ^-/-.Rag1^-/-mice on C57BL/6 background, even in the absence of anti-CD4 treatment. IL-12Rβ2^-/- .Rag1^-/- mice exhibits elevated mRNA levels of most pro-inflammatory cytokines^[4].

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse IL‑12R beta 2 is immobilized at 0.5 μg/mL (100 μL/well), the concentration of rmIL-12 that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is found to be approximately 19.97 ng/mL.
