The S100A4 protein, a calcium-binding protein, regulates cellular processes including motility, angiogenesis, differentiation, apoptosis, and autophagy. It interacts with MYH9 to enhance cell motility and chemotaxis. It modulates TP53 to reduce protein levels and stimulates cytokine production. S100A4 forms homodimers and interacts with PPFIBP1, ANXA2, TP53, CCR5, CXCR3, and FCGR3A, inhibiting FCGR3A phosphorylation.
