生物活性	Thioflavine S is a fluorescent histochemical marker of dense core senile plaques. Thioflavine S can be used for Alzheimer's research^[1].

染色示例	Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to measure the myocardial no-refow phenomenon. Method: For Thioflavine S staining assay. 1. Thioflavine S (1 mL/kg, 6%) is injected into mice via the tail vein and allowed to circulate for 1-2 min. 2. The hearts are quickly harvested, fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) overnight, cut into 1 mm sections, and then observed under a stereomicroscope (Leica, Germany). Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to measure the extracellular insoluble Aβ plaque deposits in the whole brain of mice. Method: For brain tissue staining. 1. Wash mouse brain tissues for three times in PBS (5 min). 2. Stain sliced brain tissues with Thioflavine S (500 µM; 8 min; room temperature) solution dissolved in 50% ethanol. 3. Subsequently, after incubating the tissues twice in 50% ethanol for 3 min, the tissues are washed with PBS for 5 min. 4. Brain tissue sections are mounted on glass slides using a TissueFAXS plus (TissueGnostics GmbH, Vienna, Austria) and using a Zeiss Axio Imager Z2 Microscope System (Carl Zeiss, Jena, Germany) for image. Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to evaluate amyloid deposition. Method: For brain tissue staining. 1. Testing sections are immersed in Thioflavine S (1%; 5 min), hydrated in 70% ethanol and washed for 5 min with PBS for twice. 2. The sections are sealed with a fluorescent mounting media. Pannoramic MIDI is used to scan the images and analyze the data. Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to measure the aggregation of α-syn. Method: For brain sections staining. 1. Stain sections with Thioflavine S solution (10 mg/mL; 5 min). 2. Wash cells for twice. 3. The sections are mounted on slides and images are gathered using a fluorescence microscope (Olympus). Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker, it can be used to monitor the accumulation of Aβ. Method: For cell staining. 1. Inoculate cells on a 24-well culture plate and fix cells with 4% paraformaldehyde (15 min; 25℃). 2. Add 80% ethanol to percolate at -20℃ for 6 min. 3. Add Thioflavine S (0.1%; 5 min; 25℃) to percolate for incubate cells. 4. Use the ImageXpress High-content Imaging system for image. Image Pro Plus 6.0 Image analysis software is used to detect the average fluorescence density.
