SDS-PAGE Sample Loading Buffer (4×) is appropriate for loading protein samples on SDS-PAGE. The Buffer contains the coomassie brilliant blue (CBB) G250 and Tris (2-carboxyethyl) phosphine hydrochloride (TECP, DTT Substitute), without Dithiothreitol (DTT) and 2-Mercaptoethanol. The migration speed of proteins is inversely proportional to its molecular weight, the smaller the molecular weight, the faster the migration speed.

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

    Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
