Irisquinone, a natural product, is an anticancer agent. Irisquinone is also a radiation sensitizer for cancer. Irisquinone reduces GSH level and inhibits the repair of DNA singular strand breaks[1][2][3].

Irisquinone (0-128 nM, 12-48 h) 诱导大鼠 C6 胶质瘤细胞死亡[2]。

Result: Time-dependently and dose-dependently inhibited cell viability.

Irisquinone (12.5 mg/kg，每日灌注) 使兔 VX2肺移植肿瘤模型中 Irisquinone + 放疗组瘤壁变薄，坏死面积变大[1]。

Animal Model: Rabbit bearing VX2 lung transplant tumor[1]
Dosage: 12.5 mg/kg
Administration: Perfused daily, starting from 3 days before irradiation to the end of irradiation.
Result: Displayed no significant difference of tumor growth between the radio therapy and Irisquinone + radiotherapy groups.
Showed thinner tumor wall and the larger necrotic area in the Irisquinone + radiotherapy group.
