It is also used as an electrolyte in electrochemical devices such as batteries and fuel cells, and as a building block for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. MTOAHS are multifunctional compounds with many potential industrial applications due to their reactivity, stability, and ability to selectively extract certain compounds from mixtures.
