Cypermethrin-d5 is the deuterium labeled Cypermethrin (HY-B0829). Cypermethrin is a class II BBB-penatrable pyrethroid pesticide. Cypermethrin shows neurotoxicity and causes motor deficits. Cypermethrin prolongs sodium channel opening, overexciting the central nervous system. By modulating chloride, calcium, and potassium channels and affecting glutamate and acetylcholine receptors, it induces DNA damage and oxidative stress in neurons. Also, Cypermethrin regulates neurotransmitter levels like gamma-aminobutyric acid and dopamine[1].
