Erythromycin propionate, erythromycin (HY-B0220) derivative[1], is a macrolide antibiotic used in the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections. Erythromycin propionate causes several cases of liver injury which mostly include cholestatic hepatitis. Erythromycin propionate toxicity is related to its inhibitory effect on bile acid transport[2].

(In Vitro)

Erythromycin propionate 通过破坏病毒膜的完整性来灭活病毒颗粒，导致病毒基因组 RNA 释放，并不可逆地导致病毒感染能力的丧失。Erythromycin propionate 可抑制多种黄病毒，包括寨卡病毒 (ZIKV)、登革热病毒 (DENV)、黄热病毒 (YFV) 和人类冠状病毒 OC43 (HCoV-OC43)[2]。
Erythromycin propionate (2.5-10 µM, 48 h) 可降低 HCoV-OC43 的病毒滴度，IC50 为 1.40 µM，并可减少 HCoV-OC43 感染的 BHK-21 细胞数量[2]。

Decreased serum triglyceride (TG) levels and glutathione (GSH) content in liver tissue.
