Limaprost-d₃  (Synonyms: 利马前列素 d₃)

Limaprost-d₃ (17α,20-dimethyl-δ2-PGE1-d3) is the deuterium labeled Limaprost. Limaprost (OP1206) is a PGE1 analogue and a potent and orally active vasodilator. Limaprost increases blood flow and inhibits platelet aggregation. Limaprost pain relief, has antianginal effects, and can be used for ischaemic symptoms research[1][2].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
