Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide-d₄ 

Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide-d₄ is the deuterium labeled Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide. Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide, an omega-3 fatty acid, is one of N-acylethanolamines (NAEs). Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide is cannabinoid CB1/CB2 receptor agonist. Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide acts as a metabolic signal. Eicosapentaenoyl ethanolamide inhibits dietary restriction (DR)-induced lifespan extension in wild type animals and suppresses lifespan extension in a TOR pathway mutant[1][2].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
