RG-101  (Synonyms: Temavirsen)

RG-101 is a hepatocyte targeted N-acetylgalactosamine conjugated oligonucleotide that antagonises miR-122. miR-122 is an important host factor for hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication^[1].

RG-101 is a mixed chemistry phosphorothioate oligonucleotide inhibitor of miR-122 that is linked to a multivalent N-acetylgalactosamine carbohydrate structure designed to enhance uptake of the oligonucleotide by hepatocytes through binding to the asialoglycoprotein receptor on hepatocytes^[1].
