Animal Model: Non-obese diabetic mice models[1]
Dosage: 500 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, twice a week during 5-30 weeks
Result: Completely prevented diabetes.
Significantly decreased the degree of insulitis.
Only 62% of NOD mice at 15 weeks of age.
Animal Model: 2-week-old non-obese diabetic mice models[1]
Dosage: 200 μg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, for 6 consecutive days
Result: Only 56% of NOD mice at 10 weeks of age.
Inhibited IL-2 and IFN-γ production at 4 weeks.
Enhanced production of IL-2 and IFN-γ and suppressed production of IL-4 and IL-10 at 8 weeks of age.
Increased CD25+ and CD44high cells in both CD4+ and CD8+ subsets at 8 days after the final injection.
Resulted in a rapid onset of overt diabetes when Splenic T-cells transferred to NOD-scid with spleen cells from diabetic NOD mice.
Animal Model: Streptococcal cell wall (SCW)-induced arthritis mice models[2]
Dosage: 0.5 mg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, 2 hours before injection of SCW fragments
Result: Increased the chondrocyte PG synthesis.
Reduced infiltration of synovial membrane with inflammatory cells.
Decreased mRNA levels for IL1β, IL12 and TNFα and increased IL1Ra and IL10 mRNA levels.
Animal Model: B6D2F1 mice were injected with 80 million B6 spleen cells[3]
Dosage: 0.5 mg
Administration: Intraperitoneally injection, every 7 days subsequently
Result: Significantly prolonged survival of mice.
