MCE Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is derived from healthy bovine in epidemic-free areas, prepared from the blood of 5-8-month-old fetal bovine, origin is Uruguay. The FBS has higher quality and lower difference between batches with steps prepared from special equipment and followed the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices for Drug) standards strictly.

The serum is manufactured using triple 0.1 µm filtration, with lower hemoglobin and endotoxin, no contamination of bacteria, mycoplasma, bacteriophage and virus, and with no exogenous added factors, antibiotics and hormones. It is suitable for the culture of various normal and tumor cell lines, primary cells, some stem cells and some cells that are very sensitive to the environment.

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

    Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
