2-Deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose-¹³C,d₇ 

2-Deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose-¹³C,d₇ is the ¹³C-labeled and deuterium labeled 2-Deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose (HY-141637)^[1]. 2-Deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose, a radiolabeled glucose analog, is commonly used in medical imaging techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) scans. FDG has unique chemical properties that allow it to be taken up by cells that actively metabolize glucose, such as cancer cells or inflamed tissue. Once absorbed, FDG emits positrons that can be detected in 2-Deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose scans, producing images that highlight areas of high metabolic activity in the body. This makes it a useful tool for diagnosing and monitoring a variety of diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders.

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
