Carboxypeptidase E Protein, Human (HEK293 His) is an approximately 57.0 kDa Carboxypeptidase E protein with His-flag, expressed in HEK293-cell system.

羧肽酶 E (CPE) 可切割 C 端氨基酸残基并参与神经肽加工，其本身也进行细胞内加工 羧肽酶 E (CPE) 是一种脑啡肽转化酶，可从脑啡肽前体中切割 C 端碱性残基以生成脑啡肽^[1]。
CPE 是一种糖蛋白，作为较大的无活性前体合成。它完全由大脑中的膜结合多核糖体合成^[1][2]。
CPE 存在两种形式，即可溶性和膜结合型。大多数组织具有 CPE 活性。这两种形式的分子量略有不同，但具有相同的酶性质。两种形式都源自同一个前体，由单个基因编码。该基因是羧肽酶基因家族的成员，该家族包括 CPA 和 CPB^[2]。
