Multiple studies have shown that the MDH1 protein plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism, catalyzing the reduction of aromatic α-keto acids in the presence of NADH. It plays an important role in the malate-aspartate shuttle and the tricarboxylic acid cycle, which is essential for supplying mitochondrial NADH for oxidative phosphorylation. MDH1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived MDH1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag. The total length of MDH1 Protein, Human (His) is 333 a.a., with molecular weight of ~38 kDa.
