Terbinafine-d₇  (Synonyms: TDT 067-d₇)

Terbinafine-d₇ is the deuterium labeled Terbinafine. Terbinafine (TDT 067) is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections. It is a potent non-competitive inhibitor of squalene epoxidase from Candida with a Ki of 30 nM[1][2]. Terbinafine also antibacterial activity against certain Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria[3].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
