Trifluridine-¹³C,¹⁵N₂  (Synonyms: Trifluorothymidine-¹³C,¹⁵N₂; 5-Trifluorothymidine-¹³C,¹⁵N₂; TFT-¹³C,¹⁵N₂)

Trifluridine-¹³C,¹⁵N₂ is the ¹³C and ¹⁵N labeled Trifluridine[1]. Trifluridine (Trifluorothymidine;5-Trifluorothymidine;TFT) is an irreversible thymidylate synthase inhibitor, and thereby suppresses DNA synthesis. Trifluridine is an antiviral agent for herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. Trifluorothymidine also has anti-orthopoxvirus activity[2].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs^[1].
