生物活性

Chymostatin is a SARS-CoV-2 Mpro inhibitor. Chymostatin up-regulates endocan and inhibits NF-κBp65 activity. Chymostatin reduces proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β and IL-6) and HMGB1. Chymostatin shows protective effects against Paraquat-induced acute lung injury. Chymostatin exhibits anticancer activity against lung cancer[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].

(In Vitro)

Chymostatin (20-150 μM) 可抑制活化的人外周血淋巴细胞的细胞聚集[2]。

Animal Model: Acute lung injury female mice (injected with Paraquat at a dosage of 25 mg/kg)[1]
Dosage: 2 mg/kg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), 30 min before paraquat administration
Result: Did not affect the lung tissue structure.
Decreased the lung W/D ratios, the production of TNF-a, IL-1β, IL-6 and HMGB1.
Decreased the increase in cathepsin G activity.
Increased endocan concentration.
Down-regulated nuclear NF-κBp65 in the lung.
