Acetyl tetrapeptide-2 is a bio-active peptide that exhibits anti-aging activity. Acetyl tetrapeptide-2 can reduce loss of thymic factors. Acetyl tetrapeptide-2 can increase the stiffness of HaCaT cells. Acetyl tetrapeptide-2 is a stimulator of structural skin elements including collagen and elastin[1][2][3].

Result: Contributed to cellular cohesion due to Focal Adhesions (FAs), interface between the actin cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix by overexpression genes involved in these processes.
Resulted in increased production of elastin, and collagen type I.
Showed similar high density of actin filaments in the whole cytoplasm area, even in peripheral parts.

Result: Significantly decreased the relative mRNA expression of ACTN1, ITGB4, and COL17A1 with 50 μg/mL, whilst significantly upregulated COL17A1 with 0.5 μg/mL.
