CHIR-29498 is an antibacterial peptoid. CHIR-29498 is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. CHIR-29498 can be used for the study of fatal Staphylococcus aureus[1].

(In Vitro)

Animal Model: Female CD-1 mice (weighing approximately 25 grams) were inoculated with approximately 108 CFU of bacteria via intraperitoneal injection[1].
Dosage: 3 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg, 30 mg/kg
Administration: I.p., once
Result: Protected 100% of the animals at a dose of 10 mg/kg.
Protected 50% of the animals when dosed (30 mg/kg) 110 min after i.p. infection.
