生物活性

Ochratoxin B is an orally active secondary metabolite of Aspergillus ochraceus and non-chlorinated analog of the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A. Ochratoxin B reduces the toxic effects of Ochratoxin A (HY-N6788). Ochratoxin B inhibits cell division. Ochratoxin B causes craniofacial malformations in Xenopus laevis embryos[1][2][3][4][5][6].

Ochratoxin B (1-25 µg/mL) 可显著抑制 HepG2 细胞分裂[1]。
Ochratoxin B (96 h) 会导致非洲爪蟾胚胎出现颅面畸形，其效力低于 Ochratoxin A (HY-N6788)[2]。
Ochratoxin B (0.001-100 mM；24-96 h) 在原代猪肾上皮细胞 (PKC)、大鼠肾上皮细胞 (RPTC)、人肾近端上皮细胞 (HKC) 以及猪肾细胞系 (LLC-PK1) 中表现出不同的细胞毒性水平[3]。
Ochratoxin B (2.5-25 μM) 在较低浓度 (2.5 和 5 μM) 下降低，在较高浓度 (25 μM) 会增加 3D MDCK 细胞中 Ochratoxin A 介导的毒性[4]。

Ochratoxin B (4 mg/kg；腹腔注射) 与 Ochratoxin A 同时给药时，可显著降低 Ochratoxin A 对大鼠的毒性作用[6]。

Animal Model: Male F344 Fisher rats (8-9 weeks old, 150-170 g)[5]
Dosage: Single dose of 10 mg/kg bw or repeated doses of 2 mg/kg bw (in corn oil)
Administration: Oral gavage, single dose or 5 days/week, 2 weeks
Result: Showed a slight increase in mitotic figures in proximal tubule cells (a single high dose).
Showed no changes in clinical chemistry, renal function, and histopathology (repeated administration).
Was more extensively metabolized and more rapidly eliminated than Ochratoxin A.
